Hi. My name is Terri Swinson. I'm from Metro Atlanta, Georgia. I have a small tax practice, located outside of Atlanta. The business is about 40 years old, and I acquired it 4 years ago. I've been able to maintain that client base. It's made up mainly of individual tax clients, with some business clients thrown in there. I was looking to expand the business. I wanted to increase revenue, and I just really did not know how to go about doing that. I ran across Andrew's program online, end of July/1st of August, like I said. So I've been with it about three months. And the training that Andrew and expertise and experience that he has put into the program, and learning about how to position yourself... And one of the biggest things for me was understanding what my value is to the client, and how to convey that to the client, and get away from my traditional way of thinking of...as on an hourly basis. Or, you know, what would they be willing to pay? And so, he really has educated me on the type of client to go to look for, to bring and to increase revenue. And, at the same time, how to express and be able to convey to that client, the value of my service, what that brings to them.
I did not want to increase revenue by increasing the amount of time that was required. And so, initially, my thought process was that, in order to increase revenue, I had to increase a number of, maybe, accounting or bookkeeping clients. That was gonna be time intensive to bring that income in. And he showed me that that's not something that I do not have to do, if that's not what I want to do. And I don't. I am approaching retirement years, my husband and I have seven grandchildren that we enjoy getting to travel to and visit with, so I was looking for something that wouldn't tie me down to an office. I'm currently right now at our Lake home in Alabama. I've been enjoying a long weekend. And this Monday morning, I didn't have to go back to Atlanta and face traffic or any of that. I'm sitting here on my porch, enjoying a cool fall morning.
So I would say to anyone that's looking at the program, whatever your desire is, you may be someone like me, who's approaching retirement years. I'm looking to increase my revenue, grow my business, but at the same time I want that flexibility to be able to, you know, come and go and enjoy a little bit of freedom and not be tied down to the office. Andrew opened my eyes to see if that is entirely possible and doable. And he lays out a step-by-step program on how I can achieve that. Your goal may be something different, maybe you wanna grow a big practice, you wanna have employees, you know, and have, you know, that experience. I didn't want that. So, the options are there. You can take it and go with whatever direction you want. But the training, the education, they are on how to market yourself, how to acquire those clients, how to price your services, has been invaluable.
